Nike Live Layout Design
Project management - Spatial layout design - Consumer journey
Spatial Layout designs, mainly for the Nike Live store concept. Using design guidelines and fixtures store layouts and consumer journeys for stores around Europe, South-Africa and the Middle East.
As a Spatial Layout & Fixture Designer (at Nike officially known as Layout Planning) you are responsible for the zoning and spatial layout of a Nike store. After the architects design the store’s structure, our role is to dictate where the different shopping areas are, like Men’s, Women’s and the apparel and the sneakers area. Furniture is placed after, dictating the experience of the store and telling the journey of shopable Nike products.
Nike offered me to use my spatial and experience design background for the Nike Live concept, which is the community aimed store concept that offers a local shopping experience. The team and I are responsible for stores all over Europe, Africa en the Middle-East and I’ve designed around 11 of them. Besides designing the look of the store, skills in project managing and communicating with many different stakeholders is needed, which is a skill that lifted my experience as a designer.
My two favourite projects captured through two videos: Nike by Steglitz in Berlin and Nike by Battersea in London
