Hi, I’m Hugo, and I’m a graduated Interaction Designer from the Industrial Design Engineering faculty of the TU Delft. I started this journey because from a young age I’ve always admired aesthetic values of products and environments. At the faculty I’ve learned to validate the design decisions by thorough research and value consumer behaviour that leads to different design properties. That is the reason I finished the masters Design for Interaction.
The degree has also thought me to execute thorough research to validate design decisions, being socially relevant but also creating beautiful and visually stimulating designs. The Mood Adaptive Dress project is a good example of my creative abilities, that tried to trigger the general clothing lifestyle with the next phase in fashion. ‘Skull 21’ is my first professional project in which I directed the design of a museum exposition. Multidisciplinary is the way I like to present myself. In my portfolio I try to bring that to life for you.
I’ve got a love for bringing people together, triggering them to think out of the box and to show each other our cultures. Educating different generations which inspires me to design with a purpose and to work hard to make my designs count. This is where my last 2 years of experience at Nike has brought me and is also the guideline for reading through this portfolio (please refer to the ‘projects’ tab). I couldnt have managed to get here without it. Nike is the most awesome place to work at, with the brightest colleagues and the best opportunities. That is what motivates me to join the team of Brand Creative and continue to work with the most talented people in the world.
